ELLNORA Opening Night Party, National Anthem performed by Malina Moye
Krannert Center is kicking off the 2023-24 season with a mindblowing lineup of guitar virtuosos at the 2023 ELLNORA festival! Come help us celebrate at this year's Opening Night Party, where we start the season off right with the National Anthem performed by acclaimed singer-songwriter Malina Moye. Hailed by Guitar World Magazine as a musical pioneer and one of the world's best guitarists, Moye has carved out her own path in today's music scene with her genre-defying sound of pop, rock, blues, funk, and soul. The first African American woman to play the national anthem for a professional sport, Moye has played the anthem for the NBA, the NFL, and the MLB. In 2021, Moye teamed up with Generation Z artist Bella Thorne on the song “Phantom,” which, along with the video, received over four million views on YouTube in 48 hours. Malina also spearheaded the #IAMENOUGH campaign along with her song "Enough" that garnered over 14 million impressions online. Her humanitarian efforts include serving as cofounder of the Drive Hope Foundation, a nonprofit that's dedicated to helping individuals elevate themselves and their communities. Her latest album Dirty is receiving critical acclaim and is available now.
