Directions + Parking
Krannert Center is located at 500 South Goodwin Avenue, Urbana, IL 61801. Situated near the eastern edge of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus, the Center is bordered by Goodwin Avenue on the west, Gregory Street on the east, Oregon Street on the south, and Illinois Street on the north.

From I-74: Take the Lincoln Avenue exit. Head south on Lincoln Avenue, crossing Bradley Avenue, University Avenue, Springfield Avenue, and Green Street. Turn right on Illinois Street (one block south of Green), which borders Krannert Center on its north side, or turn right on Oregon Street (three blocks south of Green), which borders Krannert Center to the south.
From I-57: If you're coming from the north, exit I-57 at I-74 heading east, then follow the directions from I-74. If you're coming from the south, exit I-57 at Curtis Road. Head east on Curtis to Neil Street and turn left (or north). Turn right (or east) on Windsor Road, and then left (or north) on Lincoln Avenue. Follow Lincoln north past Florida Avenue to Oregon Street. Turn left on Oregon, which borders Krannert Center on its south side. Alternatively from Lincoln Avenue you can turn left on Illinois Street, which borders the Center on the north side.
Parking is free in Krannert Center's underground garages evenings *after 5pm and all day on weekends*. Overflow parking is available in University lots D1 north of Illinois Street, and D9 at the corner of Illinois Street and Lincoln Avenue. Permits are required before 5pm on weekdays in all University lots.
Krannert Center's parking garages can be accessed from the North side off Illinois Street, or the South side off Oregon Avenue. All four garages connect through tunnels under the West end of the building.
Before 5pm on weekdays, 30 minute free parking spots are available in the lower South garage (green), and meters are available in both North garages (orange and yellow).
Accessible parking spaces are available on all levels of Krannert Center’s underground garage. Spaces with meters require payment even if accessible plates or hangtags are displayed.
Champaign-Urbana’s Mass Transit District hosts several routes that will let you off just steps from our doors. For the latest route and schedule information, check the MTD web site. By the way, U of I students, staff, and faculty ride for free with an i-card!
