The first time Richard Gregg fit an elephant for a costume, he learned two important lessons.

First, don't wear cologne; elephants have extremely acute senses of smell.

Second, if an elephant decides it needs to go to the bathroom during a fitting, "you simply move out of the way."

Krannert Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign proudly announces the 2024-25 performance season, featuring an exciting mix of both emerging and world-class artists. Events from September to May showcase national and international performers and multiple GRAMMY award-winners, as well as university student performances in music, theatre, lyric theatre, and dance.

Let’s face it: Krannert Center is a big place, and a lot of people work, learn, and perform here. We try hard to highlight all the departments and production partners who put on performances and teach under our roof.
