Jupiter String Quartet with Jeremy Denk, piano
Celebrated for performances of vast imagination, beauty, profundity, and wit, and a New York Times bestselling author, Jeremy Denk has received a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship, an Avery Fisher Prize, and recently became a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The New York Times proclaimed him “a pianist you want to hear no matter what he performs.” The Jupiter Spring Quartet collaborated with Denk on a 2009 recording and recently reconnected with him when both artists were invited to the 2026 Adam Chamber Music Festival in New Zealand. The first half of this concert features the quartet in Britten’s String Quartet No. 3, Op. 94, and Jeremy Denk performing a Beethoven piano sonata. They join forces for Dvôrák’s Piano Quintet in A Major, Op. 81, one of the most inspiring and treasured works of the genre.
