Inon Barnatan, piano; Anthony McGill, clarinet; and Alisa Weilerstein, cello

Inon Barnatan, the first Artist-in-Association of the New York Philharmonic, is a true poet of the keyboard: refined, searching, and unfailingly communicative. Clarinetist Anthony McGill—principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic—galvanizes his performances with "trademark brilliance, penetrating sound, and rich character" (The New York Times). Cellist and MacArthur Fellow Alisa Weilerstein's passion, commitment, and breathtaking technique make her one of today's most exciting artists. Together, these three musicians offer an alluring event featuring works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Joseph Hallman. Known for his generosity of collaboration and joy for composing and quickly becoming a noted name on concert programs internationally, Hallman has been named by NPR as one of the Top Composers under 40.

Hallman: New work commissioned by Music Accord, a consortium of top classical music presenting organizations that includes Krannert Center
Beethoven: Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 11
Brahms: Trio in A Minor, Op. 114

This performance will run approximately one hour and 43 minutes, and includes a 20-minute intermission.
