Holiday Magic

Over the years, families have gathered at Krannert Center in December for a joyful holiday celebration with the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra. Join the celebration again this year as CUSO presents Holiday Magic, streamed online for families to enjoy from the comfort of home. This magical concert features the sublime sounds of Vivaldi, beautiful carols, stellar voices, and brilliant brass. The soaring soprano voice of Katelyn Lee performing Vivaldi’s sacred music will bring a quiet joy. Countertenor Carl Alexander returns to perform the moving Sweet Little Jesus Boy. Enjoy the regal sounds of CUSO’s brass quintet performing a Canadian Brass arrangement of "Carol of the Bells." Concertmaster Maria Arrua performs a seasonal favorite, “Winter,” from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons. CUSO is delighted to host the angelic voices of the Central Illinois Youth Chorus, joined by singers from the Oratorio Society, for a beautiful performance of Dona nobis pacem. As always, Santa will be stopping by for a visit.

Tickets: The Holiday Magic concert video streams on Thursday, December 10, at 7:30pm and will be available for viewing until Sunday, December 13, at 10pm. Tickets are $25 per concert link.
