Family Fun Concert: Aaron Nigel Smith

Instantly magnetic and beautifully original, high-energy reggae artist Aaron Nigel Smith brings a global sensibility to music making for children. Collaborations with Krannert Center favorites Dan Zanes, Lucky Diaz, and Laurie Berkner; tours with reggae great Ziggy Marley; appearances on PBS’ acclaimed series Between the Lions; his role as a Martin Guitar Ambassador; and his non-profit 1 World Chorus, have helped Smith spread his message of global unity through the arts wherever his melodies lead. Accolades have followed including those from Parents’ Choice, NAPPA, and Parenting Media. Aaron Nigel Smith’s “Call to Action” is to get young audiences and their families to connect through music, dance, and play, so get ready for a memorable morning!

On Saturday, February 4, Aaron Nigel Smith arrives at Krannert Center with his lively and engaging troupe of musicians for a free, 10am performance that will take place in the Center’s expansive Lobby, offering a relaxed and upbeat atmosphere for a get-up-and-dance set.

Doors open at 9am with free craft activities throughout the morning. Intermezzo cafe will also be open for service starting at 9am with bagels, pastries, light lunch options, and hot and cold drinks available for purchase. As always, the Center is breast-feeding friendly and is equipped with changing stations, room for strollers, and free weekend parking in the four underground parking garages, with entrances on Illinois Street and Oregon Street.

This performance will last approximately 60 minutes with no intermission.
