Meyer, Marshall, Meyer
Acclaimed bassist Edgar Meyer, mandolin virtuoso Mike Marshall, and composer-violinist George Meyer unite as “Meyer, Marshall, Meyer” for an evening of inventive, genre-crossing music.
A MacArthur Fellow and multiple Grammy Award winner, Edgar Meyer is widely regarded as one of the leading bassists of his generation, known for his work across classical, bluegrass, and contemporary music. Mike Marshall, a three-time Grammy nominee, has released more than 40 recordings and is celebrated for his fluency across bluegrass, jazz, classical, and Brazilian traditions. George Meyer brings a distinctive compositional voice shaped by both classical and fiddle traditions, with commissions and performances spanning major festivals and venues nationwide.
Together, these longtime collaborators revisit and expand the repertoire of Edgar Meyer’s landmark project Short Trip Home, along with new works written for this ensemble, blending their individual and collective talents in an extraordinary program.
