Ravi Coltrane and Terence Blanchard

Saxophonist Ravi Coltrane and trumpeter Terence Blanchard share the Krannert Center stage to celebrate two pioneers of the great tradition of musical improvisation. Having recorded and performed with nearly every major figure in jazz in the last 40 years, these two 21st-century giants push the music while honoring the essence of the art form built by their predecessors. This program will explore the iconic work and influence of Miles Davis and John Coltrane to commemorate both centennials in 2026. The intensely dynamic collaboration will deliver an evening of reverently powerful and innovative music.
