The Nutcracker

Champaign Urbana Ballet presents The Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky's beloved holiday classic and a treasured Champaign-Urbana tradition. This enchanting production features CU Ballet company dancers and local children in a magical tale of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince, guided by the mysterious Herr Drosselmeyer. Audiences of all ages will be captivated by the thrilling battle of mice and soldiers and the dazzling scenes of snow and sweets. Founded in 1998, CU Ballet is known for its professional-quality performances and commitment to training young dancers while enriching the community through the art of ballet.

Please note that due to construction and street closures, parking garage entrances and street parking on Oregon Street should be accessed from Goodwin Avenue.

Please note that the following items are not allowed in the theatre: backpacks, large bags, strollers, instrument cases, food, beverages other than bottled water, tripods, signs, balloons, skateboards, bicycles, and any other items deemed to be dangerous or to pose an obstruction.
