The Nutcracker
E.T.A. Hoffman’s timeless tale—complete with enchanted toys, a princely hero, and fanciful figures—comes to life in this showcase of community talent. This holiday tradition sparkles with exquisitely handcrafted costumes and magical moments.
This year’s production will be performed to recorded music.
This performance will last approximately one hour and 50 minutes including a 20-minute intermission.
Recommended for ages 5 and up.
Tickets for this event will go on sale to the public at 10am on Tuesday, October 5. Tickets will be sold online only, not by phone or at the Ticket Office counter. Before the on-sale date, please visit Krannert Center’s online ticket office to ensure you have or can create an active account. All 2021-2022 ticket on-sale dates are now available. At the request of Champaign Urbana Ballet to address issues faced by families trying to obtain testing for young children during working/school hours, no proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 testing will be required of any audience member for The Nutcracker. All audience members must wear a face covering throughout the performance. Because children under the age of two are not able to do so safely, they will not be admitted to the performance.
