Lulo Reinhardt and Daniel Stelter
Music is at the root of Lulo Reinhardt’s Romani family tree—his great-uncle is jazz legend Django; his uncle, the Gypsy violin master Shnuckenack; and his father, Bawo, a guitarist who handed Lulo his first set of six strings at age five. Lulo’s own growth as an artist was inspired by multiple musical influences—not only the Gypsy jazz sounds of his formative years in Germany but the sonic landscapes of Brazil, Spain, and Africa that helped him hone a rhythmically diverse, Latin swing approach to Gypsy music that has won over global audiences. Guitarist Daniel Stelter has also forged a unique and versatile voice in the German jazz scene, surfing with skill among blues, rock, and pop styles.
Club-style performances offer first-come, first-served seating at tables of four in the Studio Theatre. Full bar service with snacks is available during the performance.
