Krannert Uncorked with Knights of Cabiria

Joining Krannert Uncorked this week, the 11-piece band, Knights of Cabiria, will play high-powered music from all over the world: Bartok, Bechet, sambas, and Stravinsky not to mention boleros, son montunos, waltzes, polkas, rocked-out central European dance numbers, and Fellini film scores by the great Nino Rota. The music is compelling, virtuosic, and rocking. Band members include Sol Baer (clarinet), Tom Faux (guitar), Todd Gallagher (bass), Amanda Harris (vocals), Sally Hoffman (flutes), James Hutchinson (trombone) Robin Kearton (violin/viola), Bob McEntyre (drums), Sal Percoco (trumpets), Chris Petterson (cello), and Maria Del Toro Gomez (violin).

Guests are invited to join Krannert Center in helping children stay warm this winter. Bring new or gently used coats, mittens, gloves, hats, scarves, and ear muffs for this season's clothing drive. All collected items will go to the Champaign Unit 4 School District and Urbana School District 116. Donation boxes will be available in the lobby near Intermezzo cafe.
