At Krannert Uncorked, Stage 5 is the crossroads to gather, make connections, and try a new wine. Join us for an evening of classical guitar with Guido Sanchez-Portuguez. An accomplished scholar as well as musician, Sanchez-Portuguez is the guitar lecturer at the University of Illinois School of Music specializing in Latin acoustic music and a variety of other techniques and styles.

Guido Sanchez-Portuguez’s debut CD, Trazos, which received great reviews from specialized music critics like Fanfare Magazine’s Maria Nockin and Colin Clarke, is now available in its second edition. The reissue of this album—which can be purchased at Krannert Center’s Promenade showcase + gift shop—contains a newly recorded work for guitar and percussion and completely reimagined artwork.
