Krannert Uncorked with Faye Ballard

At Krannert Uncorked, Stage 5 is the crossroads to gather, make connections, and try a new wine. This week's performer is Faye Ballard who started playing ragtime music at the early age of 10 from former piano player Les Cripe. Ballard entered the World Old-Time Piano Playing Championship and Festival by the age of 12, and has since been a five-time finalist. She currently serves as a contest coordinator and premiered in the 2009 documentary, The Entertainers. Ballard is employed by the University of Illinois Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning as an office manager and enjoys performing in her free time. Come listen to Faye's performance!

Wine samples selected and served by Southern Distributing

Guests are invited to join Krannert Center in helping children stay warm this winter. Bring new or gently used coats, mittens, gloves, hats, scarves, and ear muffs for this season's clothing drive. There is a special need this year for large and extra-large coats for middle school boys. All collected items will go to the Champaign Unit 4 School District and Urbana School District 116. Donation boxes will be available in the lobby near Intermezzo cafe.
