Krannert Center Uncorked: Moldover and Gloria Roubal & Jill Greenlee

Krannert Center kicks off our free summer Uncorked concert series with a double bill that will expand, then ground, your understanding of music.

The artist Moldover is a guitarist, composer, and instrument inventor. As an innovator, educator, and devout lover of all things creative, Moldover’s passion is to share inspiration and to bridge the gap between traditional musicianship and modern music cultures. His electric set will showcase his determination to direct electronic music’s return to virtuosity, improvisation, and emotional authenticity.

Local guitarist and singer-songwriter Gloria Roubal has released six full-length albums of original material and is the host of the Rose Bowl Tavern’s “Writers in the Round” series. Her latest release, I Used to Float, is 12 tracks of strong, guitar-based pop written across different seasons of Gloria Roubal’s life—some longtime favorites finally finding their recorded form alongside newer work that reflects where she is now. She is joined by bassist Jill Greenlee, a longtime veteran of the C-U music scene who appears on I Used to Float, as well as having spent time with 90s Daughter and the Tom Grassman Band.

Each artist will perform a 40-minute set, with a brief intermission. Join us at Stage 5 in the Krannert Center lobby from 5:30-7pm.
