Jaeden Izik-Dzurko, piano

Canadian born and bred, pianist Jaeden Izik-Dzurko has been recognized for his exciting and insightful interpretations of solo, concerto, and chamber repertoire. The 2021 Juilliard School graduate and winner of Juilliard’s prestigious Gina Bachauer Scholarship Competition enjoyed a remarkable set of first prize wins in four prestigious piano competitions in 2022, beginning with the Hilton Head International Piano Competition and culminating with the Gold Medal, Canon Audience Award, and Chamber Music Award at the 20th Paloma O’Shea Santander International Piano Competition in Spain. More recently, he received a 2024 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship.

An experienced recitalist who is recognized by audiences, conductors and composers for the exceptional communicative power and thoughtfulness of his interpretations, Izik-Dzurko “projects a distinctive musical personality that imbues even the most routine passagework with character and individuality” (Calgary Herald). He has appeared on the stages of London’s Wigmore Hall, Paris’s Salle Cortot, Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional de Música, and New York’s Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

When planning his programs, Izik-Dzurko tries to show off different sides of his personality and artistic tastes. Drawn to work of composer-pianists like Scriabin and Rachmaninoff, he is also a passionate advocate for Canadian compositions.
