Bus, school van, and car parking reservations must be made for all Krannert Center Youth Series performances. You will find a space on your ticket order form to reserve parking. Please share the following information with your drivers.

Parking for Buses and Large Vehicles

Krannert Center covers the costs of curbside parking for buses, school vans, and vehicles with clearance greater than 6 feet 2 inches. The bus parking you reserved with your ticket order is located at bagged meters on the streets surrounding Krannert Center starting with Gregory Street. Depending on the number of buses expected at a performance, there may not be bagged meters on all of the surrounding streets.

Parking for Cars and Minivans

When you make your ticket order and indicate the need for car parking, we will issue you a timed permit valid for the Krannert Center parking garage metered spaces. We usually issue one permit for every four tickets issued. Use the parking garage entrance off Illinois Street Street (either level). Park in any available *metered* space and remember to display the permit on the rearview mirror. If your vehicle clearance is greater than 6 feet 2 inches, you will need to request curbside parking.

In case we are unable to provide a parking permit (because of the timing of your ticket order), you can park at any open parking meter, either in the parking garage or on the surrounding streets, at a rate of $1 per hour.

Wheelchair Access and Access Needs

In the parking garage, at least three accessible parking spaces are available on each level, and the lower (Yellow) section off Illinois Street has a van-only parking spot. If you are parking on Illinois Street, the upper level entrance provides a fully accessible, ADA-compliant entry into the garage. If you are parking on Oregon Street, the ramp to the garage from Oregon Street provides a fully accessible entrance to the Lobby.

Parking for Bicycles

You can find bike parking on the south side of Krannert Center near the Oregon Street entrance to the parking garage. Additional bike parking is on the north side of the Center, across Illinois Street and adjacent to the Illinois Street Residence Hall.

Entering Krannert Center

You can reach our Lobby (which is on “Level 5”) by using the steps on Goodwin Avenue or Gregory Street and entering through any door. If you are in the parking garage, take the elevator or stairs to the Lobby (Level 5).
