Staying Connected: A Message from Director Mike Ross

Stage 5 Audience

March 2020

In this time of extraordinary challenge, uncertainty, and very real suffering, I want to express on behalf of all of us at Krannert Center our deep thanks for each of your messages and acts of support and understanding. We know that we all need to keep foremost in mind those who are most at risk and in need within our community and beyond, and we know that the restorative, healing, and hope-inspiring capacity of the arts will continue to play an important role in the critical weeks and months ahead.

As you may be aware, among those hardest hit financially by the COVID-19 crisis are the many thousands of performers and their teams—locally and around the globe—whose artistry lies at the core of our ecosystem. The cancellation of the remainder of events this season and the recent closure of our facility to the public have been difficult but necessary decisions, but I assure you we remain focused on our mission, and we look forward to sharing with you our plans for next season soon. Meanwhile, please stay connected with us via our website, mail, email, phone, social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter), and in any other way you might find yourself able. Again, our deep thanks, and our very best wishes to all.

Mike Ross
Krannert Center Director
