Welcome to Krannert Center and this long-awaited season of gatherings.
The pandemic has taught us all much about ourselves, and how much and how often we take things of precious value for granted.
With each performance this season we celebrate anew the powerful gift that art is, and the very special role of the artist in this time of great challenge, uncertainty, and fragility.
We celebrate the resilience of these artists, and of all who dedicate themselves to the work of bringing them and their offerings to audiences here and around the world.
And we remind ourselves of the important work that still must be done to move us toward a more just society and the role of the arts in that work, manifesting the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
Thank you for the gift of your presence, and for all you do to sustain this place of joy, hope, restoration, and contemplation.
