Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra: British Bounty

Musical treasures from the British Isles will delight and amaze you, starting with Vaughan Williams' beloved masterpiece for strings, Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis. CUSO principal timpanist William Moersch will perform as soloist in MacMillan's percussion concerto, Veni, veni, Emmanuel. This virtuoso showcase is as stunning to watch as it is to hear as William Moersch will move around a stage filled with percussion instruments of every type. This offering of British musical bounty concludes with the richly melodic Enigma Variations of Edward Elgar.

This performance will run approximately one hour and 30 minutes, and includes a 20-minute intermission.
