Big Daddy Pride and The East Side 5 with The Dirty Feathers and Devin Frank
As part of ELLNORA’s long-standing commitment to local musicians, the festival steps out to the Rose Bowl Tavern this season! Head to 106 N. Race St., Urbana, for an evening party featuring Big Daddy Pride and The East Side 5 celebrating an album release, with special guests The Dirty Feathers and Devin Frank.
Big Daddy Pride and the East Side Five is a psychedelic roots country R&B group from Urbana, Illinois. Weaving New Orleans R&B Fender Rhodes sounds with Pink Floydian guitars and the driving Tulsa sound of the rhythm section makes for a truly eclectic experience. The band formed in summer 2020 and will be releasing their debut album Snake Jazz.
Reminiscent of the MC5 and Primal Scream, Champaign rock and roll band Dirty Feathers packs a potent punch. If you love loud rock and roll, check out the Dirty Feathers! With his acoustic 12-string guitar, Devin Frank creates fluty, folky, psych-rock jams incorporating the new sounds of yesterday. Devin’s music ranges from somber Pavement vibes to avant-garde instrumental psychedelia.
The performances will take place rain or shine. Weather permitting, the music will take place outdoors on the parking lot patio. Doors open at 7pm.
