Varslaren (The Whistleblower)
Set in 1880s Norway, Ibsen’s play is a classic of political theatre. Its themes of greed, corruption, and the power of propaganda are relevant as much now as when he wrote it. The play has the capacity to speak to current American concerns, and this adaptation, devised by University of Illinois faculty and students, updates the original to reflect our own moment in history.
