Tony McManus and Julia Toaspern

Tony McManus, recently named one of Guitar Player magazine’s “50 transcendent acoustic guitarists,” weaves beautifully ornamented musical tapestries of Celtic music in masterfully picked patterns that astound the eyes and ears of audiences worldwide. For this, his second Krannert Center appearance, he’s joined by the classically trained German “folk jazz” artist Julia Toaspern, whose lilting, clear vocals and remarkable guitar and fiddle talents combine with McManus’ signature style to create an evening of “breathtaking duets” (Folker).

Tony McManus will also participate in Rachel Rosenkrantz's panel discussion, "Innovation in Playing, Innovation in Building," on Friday, September 6, at 4pm.
