Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley

Ickes and Hensley are a Grammy-nominated duo made in bluegrass heaven. The International Bluegrass Music Association has named Rob Ickes, who honed his bluegrass chops with the veteran band Blue Highway, Dobro Player of the Year 15 times. His fluid slide playing is the perfect complement to Trey Hensley’s quick-fire flatpicking and powerhouse vocals that first turned heads when he debuted at the Grand Ole Opry at the age of 11 (alongside no less than Earl Scruggs and Marty Stuart). Together, Ickes and Hensley create a supercharged collaboration that Stuart says affirms “that the real deal still exists.”
