The Theatre Studies New Work Festival provides an opportunity for three teams of Illinois Theatre students serving as playwright, director, and dramaturg to collaborate in the development and production of a substantial piece of theatre. The audience will have the opportunity to watch the creatively staged readings of the teams’ plays streamed from the Colwell Playhouse stage.

Fugitives in America by Jordan Ratliff; Alexis Webb, dramaturg; Jacqueline Moreno, director

We’re All Gonna Die Here by Rachael Fox; Gina Maggio, dramaturg; Mariana Seda, director

Each play will last approximately two hours.

Contains adult content.

Recommended for ages 16 and up.

Closed captioning will be available.

This event can only be viewed online. There will be no in-person, public audience.
