Sierra Hull

Mandolinist, captivating vocalist, and gifted songwriter Sierra Hull first gained notoriety as a child prodigy who signed with Rounder Records at age 13, later attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music as the first bluegrass musician to receive a Presidential Scholarship. Over ten years on, Hull still dazzles audiences with her exceptional musical prowess while continuing to grow artistically. Her latest release, Weighted Mind, a solo album produced by 2015 ELLNORA alum Béla Fleck, is an “exquisitely pensive” work that both honors and transcends her bluegrass roots. As Champaign-Urbana native and fellow bluegrass prodigy Alison Krauss says, Sierra is “endless. I don’t see any boundaries. Talent like hers is so rare, and I don’t think it stops. It’s round.”

This performance will last approximately 60 minutes with no intermission.
