In 2005, Krannert Center’s very own guitar festival was taking shape for the first time, and jazz icon Pat Metheny made his third visit to the Center’s stages. Fourteen years later, this National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master returns with young jazz frontrunners for a musical incarnation called “Side-Eye”—a product of Metheny’s interest in collaborating with next-generation players that includes a changing lineup of musicians.
