Lyric Theatre @ Illinois Presents: Under the Stars
Lyric Theatre @ Illinois invites you to spend an evening Under the Stars in the beautiful Sunken Garden at Allerton Park & Retreat Center listening to romantic favorites from opera and musical theatre. Eat and drink with family and friends and be transported as the orchestra and singers perform selections from the world’s most beloved theatrical works.
Join us on September 21, 22, or 23. Seating and a cash bar will open at 6:00 pm each night. The performance will begin at 7:30 pm and will last approximately 90 minutes.
You will have three choices when you purchase your tickets: reserve a table for eight for $300, reserve a seat at a table for $40, or General Admission lawn seating for $10. When you purchase your tickets, you'll also have the option to purchase a picnic basket for two provided by Art Mart for $40; you may also choose to bring your own food to the performance. Please note that this event has a limited capacity, and it is common for tickets to sell out quickly.
In the event of inclement weather, a matinée performance will be offered on Saturday, September 23, for ticket holders to the canceled Under the Stars performance. Ticket holders for canceled performances who cannot attend the matinée will be offered complimentary tickets to a Lyric Theatre performance of their choice later in the season. No refunds will be issued for this event.
