Krannert Uncorked with the Painkillers Blues Band

The Painkillers Blues Band has provided the blues for Central Illinois audiences for more than 20 years. They play a mix of Chicago blues, Southern blues, and swing blues, with both traditional and original songs. Some of the major blues influences on the band come from Koko Taylor, Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters, Etta James, Charlie Musselwhite, T-Bone Walker, Louis Jordan, and the Doors.

Their music will carry you from a slow, sad ballad to a fast-rolling shuffle on the turn of a dime. You’ll feel your toes begin to tap and your hands begin to clap as the tempo quickens, and vocalist Dawn Clark keeps things lively on the stage.

The Painkillers are thrilled to be back on Stage 5 after a few years of pandemic downtime for Uncorked. Enjoy the relaxing Krannert vibe as you settle into a late afternoon of the blues!
