At Krannert Uncorked, Stage 5 is the crossroads to gather, make connections, and try a new wine. This summer, enjoy three Uncorked events that will feature local musical artists in dual sessions from 5pm to 7pm and 7pm to 9pm on the evenings of July 14, 21, and 28.
At 5pm, The Duke of Elvintones, a four-piece jazz band comprised of University of Illinois Jazz Studies grad students, will bring energetic and refreshing hard bop jazz with Jesus Fuentes on piano, Brian Stark on saxophone, Andrey Goncalves on bass, and Mateo Sanchez on drums.
Then at 7pm, Afro LTA will keep you moving to the rhythm with their Latin-American music with African roots as well as Latin-American folk-urban music that has a strong percussion influence. Personnel include David McEathron, piano, Regginald Lewis, saxophone, Mitchell Maftean, bass, and director/creator Mateo Sanchez, percussion and voice.
