Krannert Uncorked with Bourema “Ibrahim” Ouedraogo and Jason Finkelman and The Chickadee Sermon
At Krannert Uncorked, Stage 5 is the crossroads to gather, make connections, and try a new wine. This summer, enjoy three Uncorked events that will feature local musical artists in dual sessions from 5pm to 7pm and 7pm to 9pm on the evenings of July 14, 21, and 28.
At 5pm, Bourema “Ibrahim” Ouedraogo and Jason Finkelman, our artistic director of global arts performance initatives, pair up to offer music with West African/Burkina Faso origins. Ouedraogo, guitarist and lead vocalist, grew up in West Africa and identifies strongly with his African culture. Finkelman accompanies him playing many different and unique instruments.
Then at 7pm, The Chickadee Sermon, a five-piece comfort folk act, takes the stage with a sound that emphasizes vocal harmony and delicate instrumentation with acoustic guitars, banjo, string bass, and melodica. They play original songs as well as traditional music and cover artists such as Jerry Garcia, John Harftord, Emmylou Harris, John Prine, and Bob Dylan.
With deep gratitude, Krannert Center thanks all Patron Sponsors and Corporate and Community Sponsors.
