Krannert Center Uncorked with CU Folk and Roots: Dennis Stroughmatt & Creole Stomp

The Champaign-Urbana Folk and Roots Festival presents Dennis Stroughmatt & Creole Stomp.

Some have called Dennis Stroughmatt and Creole Stomp a "blues infused creole-zydeco dance machine" and others have called the band "the Grateful Dead of creole music." Dennis Stroughmatt's Creole Stomp is simply a powerhouse Louisiana style band that serves up tradition with side of entertaining swamp-pop, blues and honky-tonk. Having performed across the United States from Providence to Las Vegas, Dennis and his band mates make their home in southern and central Illinois...but most fans still believe the band is from Louisiana!!

Please note the special start time due to the Yom Kippur holiday that ends at sundown. The bar opens at 6:30pm, and the band will perform from 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Please note that due to construction and street closures, parking garage entrances and street parking on Oregon Street should be accessed from Goodwin Avenue.
