Illinois Soul Juneteenth Celebration with Raphael & Whitney

Illinois Soul and Krannert Center for the Performing Arts proudly present a joyous Juneteenth celebration featuring Raphael & Whitney for an unforgettable evening of inspiring Gospel, R&B, and Soul. This free concert welcomes all to celebrate freedom, culture, and unity through music.

Hailing from both Chicago and Champaign, the dynamic husband-and-wife duo first met on the University of Illinois campus and have since built a celebrated career rooted in love, faith, and extraordinary artistry. Drawing inspiration from legendary voices such as Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston, and Luther Vandross, Raphael & Whitney blend timeless Soul and R&B traditions with their own unique, contemporary energy.

The pair captured national attention as contestants on Season 11 of America’s Got Talent and have gone on to perform alongside global superstars including Alicia Keys, Ed Sheeran, John Legend, Common, and Giveon. Their voices have been featured on stages and broadcasts ranging from the Grammys and the Oscars to the Super Bowl and Saturday Night Live. Returning to Champaign-Urbana especially for this performance, Raphael & Whitney bring hometown pride, uplifting spirit, and world-class talent to our community.
