Cultura Pesá

The infectious rhythms of Puerto Rico will have you dancing in your seat when Cultura Pesá takes the stage. Founder Jomar Santos discovered his passion for the cuatro—the 10-stringed, guitar-like national instrument of Puerto Rico—in high school and later perfected his technique while expanding his musical knowledge at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Santos founded Cultura Pesá to connect young people to their cultural heritage, empowering a new generation of musicians to enjoy and share bomba, plena, salsa, seises, and aguinaldos musical styles with joy and passion.
