Aga Khan Master Musicians with Vincent Peirani, accordion

Brought together by the Aga Khan Music Programme, this acclaimed ensemble unites elite performers and composer-arrangers whose artistry is rooted in the traditions of the Middle East, Mediterranean Basin, Central Asia, and China. Blending canonical forms with contemporary expression, the Master Musicians create a vibrant, original sound that honors heritage while embracing new creative possibilities.

Featuring virtuoso accordion player Vincent Peirani, the ensemble is completed with distinguished artists Wu Man on pipa (a four-stringed Chinese lute), Basel Rajoub on saxophone, Feras Charestan on qanun (a Middle-Eastern zither), Abbos Kosimov on doira (Uzbek frame drum), and Yurdal Tokcan on oud in a program showcasing exceptional mastery and cross-cultural collaboration transcending boundaries and reimagining traditions.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, cellist Vincent Ségal will not perform with the Aga Khan Master Musicians on the ensemble's November 2026 US Tour.
