Update Aug 12, 2021
August 12, 2021
Krannert Center, Illinois Theatre, the School of Music including Lyric Theatre @ Illinois, and Dance at Illinois are eager to welcome back in-person audiences—we have missed you and look forward to sharing the joy of gathering with you! At the same time, we are staying aware of ever-changing COVID-19 conditions and remain committed to maintaining the safest possible practices and environments for our students, faculty, staff, volunteers, audience members, and national and international touring artists.
So that we can respond appropriately to conditions as they change and in response to reduced staffing, tickets for 2021-22 events will go on sale approximately one month at a time throughout the season. Tickets for September events—ELLNORA | The Guitar Festival (Sep 17-18), University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra (Sep 21), and Illinois Modern Ensemble (Sep 22)—will go on sale to the public at 10am on Tuesday, August 31. Tickets will be sold online only. The ELLNORA lineup is being finalized; stay tuned for artist information.
As part of the University of Illinois, Krannert Center follows U of I guidelines regarding face coverings and other COVID-19 safety protocols. These guidelines change as conditions change, so we will continue to adjust our practices and keep you informed throughout the season. At this time, face coverings are required in indoor university spaces such as Krannert Center.
We will share more information about the 2021-22 season in upcoming e-newsletters and at KrannertCenter.com. In the meantime—Krannert Center’s Intermezzo cafe is now open to the public, serving up fresh cinnamon rolls and daily lunch specials! If you have any questions, as always, please feel free to let us know at krannertcenter [at] illinois.edu or 217.333.6280. We will be happy to assist.
