American Tap Screening

To kick off the spring semester’s emphasis on tap artistry, the film American Tap is being presented as part of The Flatlands Dance Film Festival. The 2018 documentary provides an in-depth look at the cultural history of this distinctively American dance form. From its origins to its prime in the Big Band era to its current, flourishing rebirth, this visual record of tap features many of the greatest dancers in the country.
