Sinfonia da Camera is partnering with the Krannert Summer Piano Institute for a once-in-a-lifetime gala event! Ian Hobson will lead Sinfonia and guest artists Read Gainsford, Timothy Ehlen, and Hyoung-joon Chang in an evening of piano concerto favorites. Champaign-Urbana's own Timothy Ehlen will treat us to Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 to start the show. Next is Read Gainsford from Florida State University, performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 14. After intermission Maestro Hobson will perform and conduct Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 12 from the keyboard. And hailing from Seoul National University of Korea, Hyoung-joon Chang will dazzle with Schnittke's Concerto for Piano and Strings.
