November Dance: Celebrating Kate Kuper

November Dance will explode with life in this family-friendly concert honoring our beloved community engagement faculty member Kate Kuper. Dance at Illinois faculty artist Jennifer Monson and emerging student artists Mauriah Kraker, Charlie Maybee, and Krystal Collins will create radical and joyful space celebrating our daily act of simply being present. Dance at Illinois is also excited to bring new choreographic voices from Eastern Europe to our community in a two-part cultural exchange between Dance at Illinois and the Latvian Contemporary Dance Choreographer’s Association. Olga Zitluhina, Artistic Director of Olga Zitluhina Dance Company, will create a new work for our students, exploring the politics of touch embedded in the dynamic and cultural political spaces of the Midwestern United States and Eastern/Northern European nations.
