The Marriage of Figaro
Libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte
Nathan Gunn, stage director
Mozart’s beloved comic opera takes place over just one day, but the journey is filled with twists, turns, and plenty of escapades! Written just before the French Revolution, The Marriage of Figaro explores class relationships, the roles of wealth, power, and common sense—and the miracle of forgiveness. The bumpy road to Figaro and Susanna’s wedding shines with “wit, humanity and astounding, glorious music” (The Guardian).
Sung in Italian with English supertitles.
