Lyric Theatre @ Illinois Opera Scenes

The Opera Scenes class, for graduate students and upperclassmen, will present selections from Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro, Romeo and Juliet, and Don Pasquale. Students at this stage in their development are ready to find and explore repertoire which suits their voices and temperaments particularly well, and this class seemed perfectly suited to the roles of Mozart's DaPonte operas, with sharply defined characters and lyric singing.
