LTI/KCPA Benefit: Hershey Felder, Puccini

Hershey Felder, PUCCINI
Live from Florence
With Nathan Gunn, Gianna Corbisiero, Charles Castronovo, and Ekaterina Siurina

Hershey Felder, PUCCINI is the story of a young musician in love with the world of opera, and in particular Giacomo Puccini’s La bohème, Tosca, and Madama Butterfly. When, through a series of unusual circumstances, the young musician meets the musical master himself, secrets are revealed that send the young man soaring.

With special guests, Baritone Nathan Gunn, Soprano Gianna Corbisiero, Tenor Charles Castronovo, and Soprano Ekaterina Siurina, PUCCINI features music that is beloved and known throughout the world, from “Nessun Dorma,” to “O Mio Babbino Caro” and more.

Filmed and performed on location in Lucca, Pisa, and Florence, Italy, in the very locations where events took place, including the home of Puccini’s birth. This new work promises to bring you the story and music of one of the world’s most beloved composers.

Krannert Center is pleased to partner with Hershey Felder Presents to offer this unique fundraising event. Lyric Theatre’s co-director and Swanlund Chair, Professor Nathan Gunn will be joining Felder live from Florence to benefit Lyric Theatre at Illinois and Krannert Center.

Tickets may be purchased to view the recording of this performance through Sunday, March 21 at 10pm CT.
