Without private support, audiences would have to pay at least two times the current ticket price for a Krannert Center event. Would you pay that much?
This year, Krannert Center will pay over $2.4 million to bring the Champaign-Urbana community the entire Marquee Season. We expect that ticket sales will provide $950,000 -- 40% of these costs. The remaining 60% must come from private gifts.
That's why contributions from individuals and businesses are so critical to Krannert Center and the cultural life of this community. With your generous donation you can
- help bring professional artists to the community each Marquee Season through The Marquee Annual Fund and the Marquee Performance Endowment;
- secure the future of Marquee performances by establishing an endowment with a major gift of $100,000 or more;
- provide opportunities for community residents and talented students to interact more personally with Marquee artists through Interval Lobby Concerts and Creative Intersections; and
- broaden the artistic horizons of the youth in this community (K-college) by keeping Krannert Center events affordable through the Youth Core, Campaign for Young Audiences, and Youth Series.
