Department of Theatre Series | Authored in 1901, A Dream Play announced a new approach to theatrical representation. August Strindberg ushered the audience into an ever-shifting dream reality in which characters have representational meanings, time moves backward and forward, and locations dissolve and rematerialize. The exciting young Chicago director Max Truax joins us to stage a startling vision of this landmark play.
