Sinfonia da Camera Series | Shakespeare’s epic and often tragic stories take center stage in an evening of exceptional music inspired by his best-loved tales. Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy is juxtaposed with Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story for two views of the famous lovers. The deftly conceived program continues with Walton’s Henry V, Nicolai’s Overture to The Merry Wives of Windsor, and songs from Cole Porter’s Taming of the Shrew-inspired Kiss Me, Kate.
